Proverbs and sayings are truly a treasury, in which for many centuries the folk wisdom of our ancestors accumulated. Like caring parents, they unobtrusively teach us how to do the right thing in a particular life situation.
Listen to our wise ancestors - they will not advise bad. We suggest considering a very interesting saying "Be not of a score for promises, but a skorus for execution."
The meaning of the proverb "Be not of scorching for promises, but skorus for execution"
- When people communicate with each other, they often give each other some promises. Sometimes - insignificant, which both sides soon forget about. How, for example, to call, meet often. And then other people appear in the everyday life in the center of attraction of a person, and all the same minor promises that are never destined to come true are repeated again. All this is a tribute to politeness, and such promises, in principle, can be neglected.
- But there are promises of a completely different sense that is of great importance for the person to whom they are given. It is like a starving to promise to take out the edge of bread, and completely forget about it.
- All sorts of life circumstances happen, and sometimes a person believes the promised one-what will help him, support in some business or undertaking. He makes plans, takes some steps, in accordance with oath promises, but the days go after days, and it often happens that another well-known saying is triggered: "The promised three years are waiting." And then everything collapses-and plans, hopes, and faith in that close friend who easily promised you “from three boxes”, but forgot about it with the same ease. So not only friendship can collapse, in such a situation it is quite possible to be disappointed in all of humanity and fall into longing and despondency.
- Somehow, suddenly, overnight, we had a depreciation of words-a lot of conversations around sounds, and empty promises are given, and deeds are committed negligible. After all, help someone is akin to the feat, since for this you will have to sacrifice your time, money or some other benefits. Not every of us is ready for this.
If you are alien to mercy - try to do without unnecessary promises, do not disappoint people who can believe your words. But be prepared for the fact that you, in turn, will never come to the rescue in difficult times.
The moral of the proverb “be not a skill for promises, but a score for execution” is as follows: you should seriously and thoroughly weigh everything - can you fulfill your promise? And when you will be completely sure of this, only in this case, promise a person your help and support. It was not for nothing that one of our wise ancestors stated for nothing: "Were it not scorching for promises, but skorus for execution."
