So, you decided to make a gimmer. The letters can be made very beautiful, but it is important to know how to do it right. First of all, you need to decide on the theme and style of work, as well as choose the right drawing. The template can be ready -made options, their drawings or even schemes designed to embroidery with smooths. So, there are several types of stuck:

Flat. They can be glued to windows or any other flat surfaces
With bent elements that allow you to get a 3D effect
Volumetric figures that can be viewed from all sides

The scheme of work with the pricks looks as follows:

First select the paper of the size suitable for you. If you are a beginner, then for starters you should practice on ordinary office paper, since it is much easier to cut it, and only then you can switch to more complex materials - cardboard, foil or tracing paper.
Select and print the template, or draw it yourself. Do not choose too complex options, start with those simpler.
Place the workpiece on a special rug.
Cut out the wrapping from the smallest parts and only then go to larger ones. Remember that the outer circuit is cut out last.
During work, hold the workpiece. It is best to hold on to the places that you later cut, since spots can remain in the finished picture.

By the way, if you accidentally cut some fragment, then it is allowed to glue it. However, it is still worth learning to cut so that later glue does not have to be used.

You must also prepare materials for work and a place where it will be convenient for you to cut. It is not recommended to do this on a simple table, as it can be damaged. Be sure to use the base. A self -healing rug, dense cardboard, a sheet of plywood is best suited as such. By the way, there are even special sets for paper cutters, which include substrates, as well as various kinds of cutters.

To cut out the slot letters, it is recommended to use small knives with short and beveled canvases, a medical scalpel or a knife for layouts. Each master chooses what is most suitable for him.

It is important to choose and what to glue the finished pricing. And you need to do this in advance. As a material for fasteners, you can choose PVA glue. However, for complex patterns, where there are many openwork elements, it is not suitable.

The glue pencil copes well with this task. It is good because it does not flow and does not smear. But at the same time, washing it is not easier than PVA. One of the most affordable options is tape. Any compositions can be glued to it.
